This course gives learners a clear, practical understanding of BS 7671:2018 updated to Amendment 4 (A4:2026), focusing on what’s changed and how to apply the requirements when designing, selecting, erecting, inspecting and testing low-voltage electrical installations in the UK.

Amendment 4 (A4:2026) was published on 15 April 2026, and the previous version remains valid for a transition period until 15 October 2026.
Key additions/revisions in A4 include stationary secondary batteries, functional earthing & functional equipotential bonding for ICT systems, Power over Ethernet (PoE), and a major revision of Section 710 (Medical Locations) (including updated recording of certain test results).
